Week 1 - Day 4

Steven takes you through a Before & After example of an appeal. He shows you how he incorporated the 5 principles of a successful ask into an appeal that didn't have any of the 5 principles.  

Watch this video to get any last minute ideas on how to improve the e-appeal you're going to send out tomorrow.

Please watch today's video, and then do the homework listed below the video.

Homework:

Make any final changes to your email appeal.  Set up your e-appeal to be sent out tomorrow morning.  

If you don't have an email list of your donors, you can also send your appeal out to them through the regular mail.  If sending to your entire list is too much work for this experiment, then send the appeal to a section of your list.  Pick a hundred, or several hundred, donors from your list and send the appeal to them.  If that's too much to do, then choose 10 donors to send this appeal to.  The point is to move forward with asking your donors using your newly revised appeal letter.

Tomorrow:

Steven is going to tell you the two things that will end up happening once you send out your appeal.  Then he'll give you a brief wrap up of the week and tell you what's going to happen next week.
